New York Winter Bites Back
This past weekend we could easily forget that it was still winter. High temperatures on Saturday hit near 60 in Central Park. That is all history as Arctic air makes a come back to the area. The frigid cold that gripped the Northeast in February is back. Cold air over the eastern Great Lakes will send temperatures plummeting this afternoon with sporadic snow showers. Most of the cold air will reach the rest of the Northeast tonight. Winds will be out of the North West at 20-30 MPH. Tuesday will rival the bitterly cold days of February for the title of the coldest day of this winter. Wind chill advisories are posted for portions of New York State, as well as snow and blowing snow advisories and winter weather advisories. Another chance of snow moves into the interior Northeast Tuesday, and across most of the region (except Northern New England) on Wednesday.
