New York City Winter Storm - Monday

new york snow warning.jpg Snow is finally developing in the tri-state and we could pick up 3 to 7 inches by Monday night. Although, I can't see how that is possible at this point as the radar looks pretty broken up and it looks like the bulk of the storm has passed. The National Weather Service had issued 50 snow advisories, winter storm warnings, winter storm watches and winter weather advisories for New Jersey, southern New York, Fairfield County in Connecticut and far eastern Pennsylvania. We are most likely looking at four to six inches of snow by midday on Monday with locally heavier amounts north and west. Bloomberg has suspended alternate side of the street parking was suspended for Monday to facilitate snow removal.

JetBlue also canceled 30 Monday morning flights from JFK airport. The airline is still recovering from a spate of canceled flights during the New York area's last bout with bad weather.
