Tropical Storm Debby
Tropical Storm Debby is gaining strength in the eastern Atlantic. Winds are up to 45 mph as of the 5 AM EDT advisory. The storm is expected to continue tracking toward the west-northwest while slowly gaining strength. Debby could become a hurricane within 72 hours.

hi i live in new york city. do you think tropical storm demmy will become a hurricane and be a threat to the east coast. it looks to me like it is very possible cause the north east atlantic is very warm. how came the weather channels arent talking much about debby? . i got a strong gut fealing that debby will get the north east.

hey Dan,
The reason they are not really focusing their attention to debby is because it will most likely curve north and eastward, with no threat to the east coast, at least now.
